The admission test is required only for Italian applicants who satisfy the programme’s academic background and credit requirements but do not meet the merit threshold for direct admission. In particular, students with a final Bachelor’s degree mark below 95/110, or, if not yet graduated, with a weighted average below 25/30 despite having obtained at least 150 ECTS credits, are asked to take the admission test.
Applicants who satisfy both the academic requirements and the merit criteria may enroll directly without any further evaluation, while candidates lacking the required academic background or credits must undergo a formal evaluation by the MEDIP Committee.
The admission test is held only once per academic year and covers core topics in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. A mock test will also be made available to help candidates prepare. Suggested reference textbooks include:
- Frank R.H., Microeconomics and Behavior, McGraw-Hill, 2010
- Blanchard O., Johnson D.R., Macroeconomics Global Edition, Pearson, 2012
- Hayashi F., Econometrics, Princeton University Press, 2011 (Chapter 1)
The next admission test will take place on Monday, 7 September at 2:00 PM in Room FL, San Felice Campus, Via San Felice 5, Pavia.
